Teaching activities relating to bioinformatics, computational biology and biomedical engineering
Department of Biotechnology, IIT Madras presently does not offer exclusive teaching programs in Bioinformatics. All teaching programs include courses in bioinformatics and computational biology that are integral to the curriculum. All B.Tech and dual degree M.Tech students undergo a one year project guided by the faculty of the department and these projects reflect the research activities that include areas of bioinformatics, computational biology and biomedical engineering. Following are some of the courses relating to these areas that are currently being offered by the department at the undergraduate, postgraduate and research levels.
