Savita Badal

Savita joined in January 2007 with an ICMR-JRF. She is working on the TGF-β pathway, with emphasis on Smad signaling using RNA interference (RNAi) technology). She received her bachelor’s degree in Chemistry (Hons.) and  master’s degree in Biochemistry.

Maitreyi Subramanian

Maitreyi joined in January 2007 with an ICMR-JRF. She is working on the mechanisms of action of anticancer drugs with a focus on chemicals from garlic extract. She received her bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry with Vocational Biotechnology and master’s degree in Bioinformatics.

Prabhavathy Devan

Prabha is a CSIR Senior Research Fellow (SRF) and joined as a PhD student in July 2007. She is working on NF-κB signaling pathways and a major part of her work involves molecular characterization of inflammatory parameters in precancerous and cancerous tissue samples of the human cervix. She obtained her bachelor’s degree (B.  Pharm.) in Pharmaceutical Sciences and master’s degree (MS by research) in Biotechnology.

Niranjana Prabhakar P.

Prabhakar joined in July 2007 with a CSIR-JRF and he is working on involvement of microRNAs in cancer with emphasis on apoptosis. He received his bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Genetics and Chemistry and master’s degree in   Biochemistry.
