If the brain were so simple we could understand it, we would be so simple we couldn't. --Lyall Watson
The Computational Neuroscience Lab is located in room #510, Department of Biotechnology, IIT, Madras. The lab consists of researchers and students from multi-disciplinary backgrounds who work on modeling various aspects of the brain, especially the Basal Ganglia so as to better understand Parkinson’s disease. Another motivating force of the lab’s research is to see if the network principles learnt from the study of the brain can be applied to other physiological networks, for example, the cardiovascular network.
